Marie Henriette Grafin Chotek is a Rambler introduced into commerce in 1911 by Lambert. Her flowers are dark crimson, full, large, and borne in clusters on a very vigorous climber. She covers her graceful canes each spring with literally hundreds of lightly fragrant blooms that stay for weeks, spending all of her energy for the season. I have her trained on a cedar heart shaped trellis which just one bush has almost covered in two growing seasons so that at the height of her bloom, she appears to be a huge, puffed-red heart.
