Amazone

Amazone.  This Tea rose is a beautiful result of a cross between Safrano and a seedling by Ducher and introduced into commerce in 1872.  If you like Safrano, you’ll going to love Amazone.  Its yellow blooms never fade even in the intense Texas heat.   The reverse petals are lightly veined with pink.  It’s a beautifully formed rose with high centered buds, which open to a large bloom measuring almost 3 inches across.  The bush grows to 4 – 6 feet and makes its own landscape statement with deep red new growth and red venation.  It is hardy in zones 7 – 9
